The purpose of this show (like the book) is to encourage the audience to consider casting’s omnipresence and countless exciting contributions to the world around us. In addition to works by contemporary artists and craftspeople, CAST: Art and Objects will include historical objects as well as some everyday objects. We are so grateful to the Wayne Art Center for seeing what we saw in the book - the potential for a visually stunning and thought provoking show. Since we began writing CAST, we felt that the art and objects in the book would make an incredible exhibition. We are thrilled to announce that CAST is going to come to life as an invitational exhibition called CAST: Art and Objects at the Wayne Art Center in the Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Gallery, Decem– January 26, 2019.
